“Jesus said to her,
"I am the resurrection and the life.
He who believes in me will live,
even though he dies;
and whoever lives and believes in me
will never die.”
John 11:26-26 [NIV]

Easter is a very important time for every Christian, as this is the time that we remember what Jesus Christ did for us by dying for our sins so that we have the chance to go to heaven and be with him one day. Please join us in celebrating our Lord and Saviour.

The Final Judgement - Matt 25:31-46.
‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink…
...when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,* you were doing it to me!’
Matt 25:34-40
Matthew chapter 24 and 25 hammer home the fact that Jesus is coming again, that there will be an end to the present age and that we need to be ready. They outline some of the signs that we are to look out for and the need for us to be ready.
As Jesus rounds off this message he tells of a final judgement… What does he look for? He rewards those who have fed the hungry, given drink to the thirsty, welcomed the stranger, clothed the naked, cared for the sick and visited the prisoner. For in doing these things for men and women, Jesus considered them done for him. What a beautiful way to live. In the midst of all of the darkness that these two chapters speak of and our world so often displays, Jesus calls us to live a life of love.
So in these end days, recognise the signs, look forward to the return of Jesus Christ and in the meantime live a life of love!
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ceri Scott. I am sure that you would join with me in praying for his family at this time. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He had a heart of gold and a personality to match. May the God of hope comfort all who grieve.
Ceri’s funeral will be held on
Tuesday 8th March.
11:15am at Lifewell Church
12:15pm at Morriston Cemetery.
Established in 1957 by visionary, George Verwer, OM is a dynamic international Christian missions movement. At the heart of OM are a group of people completely sold out to Jesus Christ and His commands. They are guided by His Spirit to cross boundaries and push limits. They have 6100 workers representing over 113 nations in more than 110 countries and in port communities through their ship ministry with Logos Hope. Their work varies hugely from country to country but their focus is always the same. They have one message – the same message Jesus brought – to bring Good News to the poor, to proclaim freedom for prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour. Their aim is to motivate and equip Christians to share God’s love, and to strengthen and plant churches especially in areas where Christ is least known. Their mission is to pioneer and lead initiatives to redeem lives, rebuild communities and restore hope through five areas of activity: Evangelism, Relief & Development, Discipleship & Mentoring, Justice & Advocacy and Church Planting.
REMEMBER TO PRAY FOR OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS AROUND THE WORLD
Please pray for:
1. OM’s team members who are seizing every opportunity to help the many displaced people in the Middle East, both Christians and Muslims alike, who have lost everything
2. Pray for wisdom for our government and all the EU leaders as they try to find a resolution to the migrant problem.
3. Praise God for the Book Fair staff who enthusiastically share the treasures of the vast Book Fair and the “Journey of Life”, a walk through experience that helps visitors understand God’s love for them.
4. Pray for appropriate financial resources for OM to continue with their work.
5. Pray for an ongoing supply of committed Christians to join OM in their vital work.
