Love is patient,
love is kind.
It does not envy,
it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others,
it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects,
always trusts,
always hopes,
always perseveres.
Love never fails.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
[NIV]
Don't just believe
it,
LIVE LIKE
IT!
February has arrived and as Valentines day draws nearer,
love takes centre stage as
many look to make known their love for that one
very special person.
But love is not just for Feb 14th!
It is to be our life choice 365 days a year! And not just
for that one special person but
for everyone! God showed his love for everyone
through Jesus!
A message that rings true 365 days a year...
GOD LOVES YOU!!!
May that fact shine a warmth and a peace and a
smile into your life that you can in turn pass
on to those around you!!!
Jesus warns the
religious leaders - part 2 - Matthew 23:1-36
"They crush you
with impossible religious demands
and never lift a
finger to help ease the burden."
Matthew 23:4.
[NIV]
As we work through this chapter I hope these
things can-not be said about us. Following last month, we want to be
people who 'practice what we preach'.
But, as we live out what we believe, we don't
want to 'make religious demands of ourselves or others and we don't want
to be a people who are not willing to lift a finger to help ease other
people's life burdens'
Let's consider this...
As we seek to live out our faith, we find that
there are practices that are needed to be a part of our lives if we are to
know God and his blessings upon our lives! But they are not to be
impossible demands on us. They are to lead us to life and not to a
place of being crushed by the burden of it all. Sometimes as
we consider the time pressures on our lives, we can fall into a place
where we see Prayer, Bible reading and church as added pressures upon us
and when we then add in the pressure to do the right thing in any and
every situation, we can start to sink. But Prayer brings us into the
presence of God that lifts us and strengthens us! As we read God's word,
it brings a wisdom that can change everything - making other things
lighter. Gathering with other Christians is such an encouragement
when we view it that way. God is really able to minister into our
lives and situations. When we put God's word into practice out of
love for God, we reap the blessings and benefits God promises to us!
And they are not to be
missed!!!
As a Church we have been supporting Frank and Carol in their
missionary work in Spain for many years. Their son Tim and his wife Eliana
are senior workers whom the Lord has blessed with faith, wisdom and
vision, confirming their ministry with much fruit. Edison (another young
man from the church), who is married to Damaris, is in the process of
preparing to become a full time Assistant Pastor to fulfil the aim of
establishing churches in other parts of Castellon.
There are hundreds of needy people and families in Spain as no less
than half of the 3 million unemployed receive no government help and have
no income whatsoever. Because of this need another step of faith was
necessary to hire a small warehouse to contain the donations of food as
there was no more room in the church building in Castellon.
PLEASE PRAY FOR :-
1. For our on-going
church planting
programme.
2. For the provision of all necessary
resources.
3. That the Lord*s presence and power will be
experienced in a far greater measure than ever before in all areas where
we are working.
4. That the Lord will continue to raise up
workers on fire for God
5. For Edison and Damaris to experience the
fullness of God*s blessing and anointing upon their
ministry.
6. For a great increase in the number of people
getting saved.
