Be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God,
failing to observe His commands,
His laws and His decrees that I am giving you this day.
Deuteronomy 8:11 [NIV]
Don't just believe it,
Christmas is a very busy time of year full of hustle and bustle getting everyone presents. There are exams and deadlines in school and work. Everyone is a bit stressed and under the weather. With all that aside Christmas is a time of joy and fun. Everyone is going to party's, spending time with friends and loved ones and enjoying each others company. Even though this time of the year is hectic and busy we need to remember why we celebrate Christmas... God sent his son to us so that we could know him and love him and so that we can have him in our lives everyday, not just every Sunday and not just for Christmas. So this Christmas make sure you keep the Christ in CHRISTmas.

Jesus foretells the future (Part 2) - Matt 24:1-51.
“Don’t let anyone mislead you. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will lead many astray”
Matthew 24:4-5. [NLT]
Jesus had warned the disciples to place their trust in Him and not in their past. Now He was warning them of the things in the future that would come with the potential of shaking their confidence in Christ.
The disciples had asked Jesus for a sign of his coming and of the end of the age. Jesus’ first response was “Don’t let anyone mislead you “. When we look for signs, and put our trust in what we see, we become very susceptible to being deceived. There are many lies and counterfeit spirituality around. The only sure way to keep from being deceived is to focus on Christ and his words. Don’t look for special signs, and don’t spend time looking at other people. Be careful and test the thoughts, teachings and opinions that you hear and Look at Christ. Be led by His word over the words of others!
Christian Friends of Israel (CFI) is a non-denominational Christian organisation, seeking to lift up the name of Jesus in all they do to bless His Jewish brethren and share the message of His love both for Israel and the Church. As Jews in the past have suffered great persecution, CFI seeks to show them real friendship and love in His name. They are Christians who believe that God has a special place for them in His Kingdom. Today as anti-Semitism again rises worldwide, Israel and the Jewish people are deeply touched by Christian solidarity and support.
REMEMBER TO PRAY FOR OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS AROUND THE WORLD
Please pray for:
1. That God would grant Benjamin Netanyahu the wisdom and spiritual strength needed to stand His ground in the face of Israel’s enemies.
2. That the church will understand the urgent strategic perils that little Israel faces not only worldwide, but especially in the Middle East.
3. For a just peace for the people of Israel.
4. For the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122 v 6).
If you would like to give to Missions just put your Missions gift in an envelope marked Missions and drop it in collection any time along with your offerings. Each month, you can read a little more about Christian Mission organisations and what they do.
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Willmer. Our dear sister in the Lord and faithful member of our Church since 1978. Over the years she served with the Sunday School, the sisterhood and the leadership team. Through all her suffering she remained faithful, knowing the reality of her favourite song, 'My life is in You Lord, My strength is in You Lord, My hope is in You Lord!' Which allowed her to say in Christ “I am ready to meet my Lord!” Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this sad time!
